TCW wishes to establish an Engineering Doctorate in Systems research programme based on  two real life projects, one in India and one in the UK. These projects build on TCW’s existing work to provide improved access to affordable, sustainable energy. The overall desired outputs of these projects include:

• Implementation of one or more sustainable energy projects as demonstration sites

• Development of proven methodologies for use across a range of communities to address challenges of: local requirements, appropriate technology, community engagement, project funding, ownership, regulation, skills development etc.
